All modules within Jail Guardian interface with each other (Jail Management and Records Management) as well as all applications in the Jail Guardian Suite (Jail Guardian, Weapons Guardian, Dispatch Guardian). This provides two benefits: more efficiency and better reporting. For instance, a user can see from Dispatch Guardian (CAD) whether a person has been booked or if they have weapon permits. On the other side, a user of Jail Guardian can see any alerts that someone entered into Dispatch Guardian without having to leave the Jail Guardian screen. They all share the same knowledge base so that once a person is entered into one system - that person is visible to all systems.

Many parts of the system are configurable to each client's preferences. For instance, you can customize what fields are required for data entry by the user, what tasks are security checkpoints, what data fields depend on values from other data fields, etc. Nitorco is also more than willing to work with a client who needs more advanced customizations that require change in the actual software code.

6. Advanced Security

Each client is able to designate which tasks in the system require security checkpoints and which users are allowed to pass through those security checkpoints. Editing the security of the application is done through a central screen in the administration module. From that view, the administrator can assign security permissions to a specific user or to a group of users. This provides for more efficient management of the system.

Nitorco has integrated one of its innovative custom-built tools, the Road-Map Error Control System, into Jail Guardian. The Road Map Error Control System is a flexible, easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) which monitors user input throughout a booking or other data-entry event, displaying potential errors at the bottom of the user screen in the form of “Stop” and “Warning” signs. By requiring the user to clear them before proceeding, potential problems are prevented before an erroneous or incomplete record can be entered. The client may designate their own custom data checks to be added to the Error Control System.
